On July 13 of this past year, members of Friends Charities received tragic news. The father-in-law of one of our co-founders had passed away at his home in India. In life, one of his greatest passions was to give back to those who are in need. To honor him, Friends Charities donated $700 to local charities and New Hope and New Life Children Home to help the children of India in these trying times.
Since 2012, the New Hope and New Life organization has been carrying out various activities in support of their mission, including operating homes for orphans and the destitute, providing free evening tutoring centers for underprivileged children, as well as offering support to widows, the elderly, and those suffering from leprosy and HIV.
Through the aid that they provide to the young, old, sick, and needy, the New Hope and New life organization lives up to its name. With the $700 donated by Friends Charities, local family members were able to purchase desperately needed school supplies and distribute them to the children at local charities and the New Hope and New Life Children’s Home.
Friends Charities is committed to continuing to grow, both in the number of people we help and the ways that we can help them. We offer our deepest thanks to all of you who support us and allow us to make these things happen.
