Late August 2019, an idea was sparked by one of the members who was taking a walk around his community. At that moment, he called his close friends and shared his thoughts on opening a charity to help prospective college students across the area achieve their dreams of higher education.
In October 2019, F.R.I.E.N.D.S Charities was formed as 501(c)3 organization.
Each of us has received guidance back when we were in school, and we recognize how valuable and inspirational the experience was. Our desire is to leave these students with similar impressions by the time they finish their own educational journey.
We are a group of five working professionals in the tech industry who wish to give back to the region that gave us so much support in our educational pursuits.
Our careers span across software development, finance, manufacturing, information-security, and management. With our years of professional experience, we are in great positions to offer our advice and share our knowledge.
We are partnering with high school students across the area to provide them with the same mentorship and guidance we received when we were in their position. We believe this action is how generations grow stronger together and lead to a more compassionate, personal community.
